Scarborough - New Construction

Enjoy being in a small community of a ten lot subdivision with the convenience of being less than 10 minutes from Payne Road and all points North, South, East and West. The perimeter of this subdivision has a lovely wooded walking trail that passes a horse farm, and leads to large outdoor park that includes soccer fields and playgrounds.  This subdivision is unlike most: July 4th celebrations include barbeque and fireworks display, all homeowners consider each other friends.

This home has more to offer than the eye can see. Upon entering the garage, there is a landing with cubbies and seating to drop groceries and change into “house” slippers. Once inside the kitchen, a home chef will delight with the abundance soft close Shaker Style kitchen cabinets, Samsung suite of stainless steel appliances and expansive counter space. Among the details that one can appreciate are a pot filler above the stove and a Bluetooth hood that turns itself on as soon as the gas range is turned on. The houses in this price range cannot compare to this home in regards to the level of finishes and trim. Rift and quarter sawn ash floors are all throughout the first floor. Elements of the Craftsmen style can be seen in the custom made (on site) baseboard molding, crown molding, and paneled wainscoting. Entry hall and living room offer coffered ceilings with lovely contrasted paint.

For the cold Maine winters, one can enjoy walking on radiant heated floors throughout the whole house – should one need to take the “chill” off the living room has a lovely gas fired fireplace. Conversely, should someone want to have cooling in the summer, the home has been prepped for a high efficiency mini split cooling system that can be easily installed, which the builder can install before close. As you walk down the hallway, a beautiful half bath has a marble mosaic tiled floor, with marble mosaic tiled backsplash and solid core sliding barn door.  All interior doors are solid wood doors in the Shaker style, not molded Masonite or hollow core doors as one usually sees in this price level. As one approaches the stairs one will notice that the Craftsmen style continues with custom stair brackets and matching quarter sawn ash treads. Entering the master bedroom suite, which boasts tray ceilings, his and her double door closets, and quarter sawn ash floors. The master bathroom has a double vanity with soft close cabinets, herringbone tied floors, marble tiled shower and a tumbled marble shower floor.

On cool nights the homeowner will be appreciate the radiant heated floors keeping their feet warm when the get up in the middle of the night!  Second floor hallway has the same wood floors that are in the downstairs and master bedroom. The separate laundry room upstairs is tiled and has the same tile as second bathroom on the second floor. Closet space is in abundance: each bathroom, as well as the laundry room have a closet.  All three remaining bedrooms have one double door closet and are carpeted. Once one goes down to the basement, it should be noted that the windows are egress windows, and should someone want to finish off the basement, it would be easy to do. Additionally, the builder installed a below the slab ventilation system which will mitigate any potential radon issues.
